Hi! Now you have seen my work, it is time to introduce the face behind the photos. My name is Janne, 24 years old and based in The Netherlands. My mother language is Dutch, but you can also approach me in English or even Frisian.

My passion for photography started from a young age on, but I started taking the profession more seriously at the age of 15. Starting out with music photography, my interest evolved towards documentaries and weddings. During a photoshoot or project, my goal is always to capture a story. This can be done in a single portrait shoot as well during a demonstration or protest. A picture is nothing without reflecting a (hidden) story. The best pictures are the ones that gives the viewer a different perspective than their own. Those are able to start the questioning and thinking process. Something I like to call art.

Warm, pure and earthy with pure and high contrast are words used for describing my work. During a photoshoot with me you can expect a relaxed time, almost like you’re hanging out with your friend who owns a camera. Personally I am not a fan of staged pictures, so in order to create spontaneous and honest shots, I will guide you with little activities to keep you moving. This way, a photoshoot can be fun for everyone.
